COLOR

2025

An extensive exploration of color, dye, and surface design through a range of traditional and contemporary textile techniques. The project investigated Acid Dyes, Procion MX dyes, indigo, natural dyes, block printing, screen printing, and Shibori, combining historical research with hands-on experimentation.

Research into the origins and applications of each technique informed a series of textile experiments across natural, synthetic, and animal-based fibres. The exploration was driven by a desire to develop a broader understanding of how different fibres, dyes, and processes interact, while building practical knowledge of color application and textile surface development used both in industry and everyday garments.
